Packaging & Delivery

How is the food packaged?

We use three different packaging methods to ensure your meals stay fresh and flavorful. Check out the differences below!

  1. Vacuum Sealed - Many of our meals are sealed using a vacuum seal method which helps to lock in freshness and flavor.
  2. MAP Sealed - For salads and meals with fresh leafy greens, we use Modified Air Packaging (MAP), which is ideal for maintaining crispness but should be consumed first. Look out for the "Enjoy First" icon on these meals!
  3. Lidding/Heat-Sealed - Soups and meals with broth are packaged using a lidding/heat-sealed method, which helps preserve the dish's flavor and texture.

Our meals are packaged on-site by our team in Denver, CO, and shipped out the same or next day after being cooked to ensure you receive them at their peak freshness.

Are the meal trays you use safe for food?

Absolutely! The trays we use are food-safe and are designed to withstand refrigeration, freezing, and reheating without leaching harmful chemicals. They do not contain BPAs, PFAs, decaBDEs, or flame retardants.

Additionally, all of our chef-prepared meals are properly cooled before being individually plated to ensure food safety and freshness.

We take food safety seriously and that means carefully selecting packaging materials that maintain the quality and integrity of our meals while being safe for you and your family.

Are the meals delivered fresh or frozen?

Our meals are delivered fresh, never frozen, so you can enjoy them at their peak flavor. Our boxes are packed with an insulated liner and gel ice packs to keep the product chilled, and at a food safe temperature for the duration of transit. It is normal to see the gel packs thaw during transit. As long as the food is cool to the touch and gets refrigerated upon arrival, the food is safe to consume and enjoy. Please reach out to us if you have any questions regarding the condition of your meals upon delivery.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to all states in the United States except Alaska and Hawaii.

How do I know when my meals will arrive?

Once you place your order, you will receive an email with an approximate shipping date. Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. You can use this to monitor the progress of your delivery.

Can I track my delivery?

Yes, once your order has shipped, you will receive a UPS tracking link via email to follow your package until it reaches your doorstep!

Is there a delivery fee?

Shipping is included in the price of the weekly plan—no added fees or hidden charges! Sales tax may apply based on your location, but there are no additional delivery costs.

Where is Whole Harvest located?

The Whole Harvest culinary center is located in Denver, Colorado, where all of our amazing meals are shipped from.

What should I do if I receive a damaged or incorrect order?

If you receive a damaged or incorrect order, please contact our customer support team and we will make it right.
